Organising a photography session can be daunting but have no fear you are in the right place! I will take your hand and together, we will go on a splendid journey. No two sessions are ever the same, though the basic steps are the same.  Whether you’re having an outdoor family session or perhaps an in studio newborn session. These are the steps in your journey of a portrait photography session:

1. Inquiry

The initial consultation will be over the phone. I will discuss with you what your vision for your session is, the options available such as location and you can ask me any questions. This will help you decide if I am the right fit for you.

2. Booking

If you decide to book at this point, we can go ahead to discuss session dates. You will then receive a booking link in an email containing a photography agreement and invoice for your session fee (fee is non-refundable but is transferable to another date if any issues occur). At this stage, there is no further payments or commitments to purchase artwork. This will be discussed at your photography session. Once you fill out the questionnaire, sign the agreement and pay your invoice, your session is booked. The date will be confirmed (unless it is a newborn session- a date is tentatively blocked out around your due date & once baby is born, we decide on the date). You will also receive a session guide with what to expect, wear & bring, 2 weeks before your session. Booking is advised at minimum 6 weeks prior, however the earlier the better as spots are limited.

3. Styling Consultation & Pre-session check-in

About 1 week before your session, I will check-in via phone to discuss your outfits & select props (if applicable), your expectations of the session and you can ask me any questions you may have. We will discuss what kind of artwork you would like, whether it be something to hang in your hallway or living area to table displays and albums.  We will also book, your image reveal and ordering appointment.

4. The Portrait Session

The day is here! Excited? Anxious?  I will work with you and follow your lead on the kind of session you would like.  If you have children, I will work patiently with them to capture some beautiful moments. I will also guide you on how to pose, where to look and remind you to relax and have fun! Unless you are having a newborn session, your session will be complete in about an hour (newborn sessions are usually 2-3 hours to allow for feeding & settling).

5. Image reveal & ordering appointment

The most exciting part! Approximately 1-3 days after your session, from the comfort of your own home, you will have your image reveal via zoom! All decision makers must be present. You will view a stunning presentation of your portraits from your session and then view each one individually to pick your favourites. Then, with my guidance & advice, you choose the artwork/fine art portraits you love and those that will be best suited to your home. Ordering and payment is completed at this session. Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer or cash. Payment Plans are also available. All fine art portraits and images will be ordered and completed once full payment is received.

6. Final Delivery

I will complete the editing process on your chosen images and order your fine art portraits and products. Your images and custom photography products will be ready within 4-6 weeks. I will then be in touch to organise pick-up/delivery.
